1. What is the key to success as an author you have found?

The key to success as an author, I believe is actually the same as the key to success in general. You must be courageous and authentic to be truly successful in anything. It takes courage to share who you are with the world. It takes courage to write a first draft and a second draft and a third draft. It takes courage to put yourself out there for others to see. You must be authentically you and share your message with the world. It is vulnerable to put yourself out there publicly for many to see. This is what I believe success is. Success is a sense of fulfillment, meaning and achievement which only happens as a result of being courageous and vulnerable.

2. Tell us about your new International Best-Selling book!

When Love Speaks is so much more than a book. It is a movement. It is a community of 44 beautiful souls that have come together to rise in love to support humanity as a whole through the sharing of personal stories. It is 44 love letters to the world. It is the sharing of courage, boldness, bravery, grace, forgiveness, love and so much more. I invited each author to answer the question… If you have just hours to live, what message would you want to share with the world and what story in your life inspires that message. The stories in this book are a living legacy from each contributor. It is their love letter to the world.

Each story touches and awakens your heart and spirit. It connects us all. I am deeply honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to work with each of the authors to curate their own personal story to inspire the lives of people across the globe.

When Love Speaks is an invitation for all of us to listen to when and how love speaks to and through us to support us on this beautiful journey of life.

3. What was the hardest part about working through these stories with the contributing authors and also writing your own?

The hardest part about working through the stories is healing it and sharing it with others. Your story is deeply personal and vulnerable because it is your life. It isn’t fiction. I wasn't sure I would ever share the story I shared in When Love Speaks. It was a personal story. I didn’t like who I was in the beginning of the story. It took me to a time of my life where I was very unhappy. I looked like I had it all on paper but I was suffering inside. A part of me was afraid of being judged and to be honest, throughout the process you make yourself vulnerable to your own judgment as well. What I love is that I fell in love with myself and my courage and commitment to journey through the moments in my life that were hard in order to become more alive and more in love. I fell in love with the woman who was courageous enough to follow her dream and now I am in the process of living that miraculous dream each and every day. By the time it was shared with others, I loved my story and there was no part of me that wanted or needed to hide it. And that is freedom. Loving all the parts of you.

When working with the contributing authors the most challenging part was getting to the story that truly illuminated the part of them that was yearning to be expressed and then leaning into the courage to share it. There were sometimes many stories that wanted to be told. Oftentimes, the first couple of stories are not the stories. They are the “safe” stories; the stories that are less vulnerable to share. The stories that don’t take a lot of courage to share. However, those stories don’t share our deepest heart and truth. Crystalizing those stories was a beautiful opportunity in the writing of this compilation. I am inspired by each of the contributors, their courage and vulnerability in not only writing their stories, but healing them, sharing them and loving them.

4. What do you hope people walk away with learning after reading?

I hope that those that read this book have their heart opened and awakened in some way. I hope that they are inspired by the stories of trials and triumph of bravery and beauty from each of the 44 authors. My deep desire is that each person falls even more deeply in love with themselves and one another. And that each person feels more connected to humanity as a whole. As I read each beautiful story, my heart is touched and I realize that beyond the authors of this compilation, everyone has a beautiful story to tell. I hope that each person walks away wondering as they meet others in the street, “I wonder what their beautiful story is?” And then take the time to connect even more deeply to one another through the power of personal story. I hope through the stories in this book that each person realizes their own personal strength and courage in navigating this beautiful journey called life.

5. Aside from your own, what authors and books are on your top reading list?

I love personal development so most of my favorite books are in that genre.

The Power of Awareness by Neville Goddard

The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles,

Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill

Bird By Bird - Anne Lamont

6. What quote helps motivate you on a daily basis?

“There is no greater gift that you can give or receive than to honor your calling. It is why you were born and how you become most truly alive.” - Oprah Winfrey

7. Will we see additional follow-up books in the future?

Absolutely! I will be publishing a new When Love Speaks Compilation in 2022 and my own personal book as well.
